On the front page of Monday’s Boston Herald, the first thing that jumps out to the reader is most likely a picture of President Barack Obama golfing on Martha’s Vineyard accompanied by the clever headline “Puttering About.” But there was also a less noticeable advertisement above the Scott Brown headline on the right that is worth mentioning.

The ad takes a jab at New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez for his recent 211-game suspension and involvement with the Biogenesis clinic. Rodriguez is appealing the decision, but if it goes through, he’ll lose the rest of this year’s salary and all of next’s.

The ad, for Boston Sports Clubs, says, “Alex, losing $34 million? Don’t miss our summer sale. Join today and keep that A-bod.”

Take a look at the full ad in the picture below, which was pointed out by Boston Magazine.
