Alex Rodriguez would get booed in just about every building in America right now, including, as was evident Friday night, Yankee Stadium.

The disgraced superstar returned to the Bronx for his first game in front of the home crowd since he was hit with a 211-game suspension last week. In fact, it was Rodriguez’s first appearance at Yankee Stadium in nearly a year, as the third baseman sat out more than half of this season after undergoing hip surgery.

There were certainly a number of fans giving him a warm welcome — some “I heart A-Rod” signs were even spotted around the stadium — but that type of reaction seemed to be part of the minority.
