The Refrigerator is still running.

While a report surfaced Wednesday morning that former Chicago Bears defensive lineman William Perry had passed away, the 50-year-old is still alive, his alma mater Clemson has confirmed.

A link on TigerNet.com that has since been deleted originally reported Perry had passed away. A tweet going out from the website’s Twitter account also reported the supposed news, but that has been deleted, as well.

The news started to spread across Twitter for a few minutes, but Clemson was quick to act. Clemson football sports information director Tim Bourret tweeted that Perry was alive and well, a tweet that was also retweeted by the Clemson athletics Twitter department.

Just another day on the Internet.
