Robert Griffin III caught a lot of flak for accepting wedding gifts from fans this summer, and we can be sure that at least one gift that he was given wasn’t on his public registry.
One anonymous Dallas Cowboys fan sent the Redskins quarterback a memento to remind him of the rivalry between the two teams. ESPN will be airing a documentary about the quarterback later this month, and in the first promotional snippet, RG3 and his new wife, Rebecca, are seen opening a gift from a Florida-based Cowboys fan.
The gift was a Cowboys mug along with a note that said, “Heard you were bragging about smacking the Cowboys. Thought you could use a Dallas Cowboys mug to drown your sorrows after we whoop you this year.” Not your traditional well-wishes for the happy couple.
