Danish Soccer Player Scores Amazing Bicycle-Kick Goal Off 40-Yard Pass (Video)

There are bicycle-kick goals, and then there’s the bicycle-kick goal that Morten Nordstrand pulled off on Sunday.

Nordstrand, a forward for Nordsjaelland of the Danish Superliga, put in a bid for goal of the year with the strike against reigning league champion Copenhagen.

In the game’s 83rd minute, Nordstrand received a long pass — estimated at about 40 yards away — and put the ball in the back of the net in stunning style. With his back to the goal, he rose up and struck the ball over his head and past the opposing goalkeeper. The goal gave his team the late equalizer and, unsurprisingly, has gone viral on the Internet.
