Derek JeterFor the third time this season, Derek Jeter will return to the New York Yankees.

Jeter will finish his rehab stint with the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Railriders on Saturday night, and rejoin the Yankees Monday night as they open up a three-game series against the Blue Jays in Toronto. Jeter is expected to be in the starting lineup, according to Wallace Matthews of ESPNNewYork.com.

“That’s the plan,” manager Joe Girardi told ESPNNewYork.com before Saturday night’s game against the Rays.”As long as everything goes OK today, we’ll see him in Toronto.”

After fracturing his left ankle twice, straining his right quad and most recently straining his calf, the 39-year-old shortstop has only played five games this season for the Yanks.

In those five games, Jeter is hitting .211 with a home run and two RBIs.
