Well that didn’t last long.

The Memphis Grizzlies waived Fab Melo on Friday, two weeks after sending forward Donte Greene to the Boston Celtics to acquire the big-man.

Melo was the 22nd pick in 2012 after two seasons at Syracuse. He appeared in only six games for the Celtics, averaging 1.2 points and 6 minutes per game.

Melo also played in the NBA D-League, playing in 33 games for the Maine Red Claws.
