Jon LesterJon Lester appears to be getting back on track after a tough stretch in the middle of the season.

Lester went 8 1/3 innings Monday night to grab his 11th win of the season. The lefty didn’t allow any runs and struck out three. Lester allowed six hits and two walks at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

Lester wanted to go the full nine, but couldn’t quite make it after allowing singles in the bottom of the ninth to Buster Posey and Hunter Pence. Brandon Workman came in to finish the game.

It was the southpaw’s best start since May 10 when he threw a one-hit complete game shutout. Lester’s ERA sat at 2.73 after that impressive start, but rose all the way up to 4.61 by the end of June. It’s back down to 4.09 as the starter has settled down and found his stuff. Lester pitches against the Dodgers Saturday afternoon.
