David Ross Jonny Gomes Mike Napoli“No Shave November” came early for the Red Sox this year.

Although baseball clubs are known to cut back on the shaving as the season wears on — unless, of course, you’re the Yankees — the Red Sox have been in rare form in the facial hair department. From the finely shaped and trimmed to the borderline mountain man, Boston has become a welcome home to an unofficial Beard Club.

With characters like Jonny Gomes and Mike Napoli taking the reigns of this new unshaven face of the organization, many others have followed suit. Others, like David Ortiz, who haven’t changed their style, have found an unlikely home within the clubhouse.
