In the middle of answering a question about mending his relationship with boxing analyst Teddy Atlas, Mike Tyson came clean about his continuing struggles with addiction.

Tyson met with the media after his debut on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights. He said he’s on the verge of death due to his alcoholism.

“I wanna change my life, I wanna live a different life now,” Tyson said in the press conference. “I wanna live my sober life. I don’t wanna die. I’m on the verge of dying, because I’m a vicious alcoholic. Wow. God, this is some interesting stuff.

“I haven’t drank or took drugs in six days, and for me that’s a miracle. I’ve been lying to everybody else that think I was sober, but I’m not. This is my sixth day. I’m never gonna use again.”

Check out Tyson’s message below, but be warned, he comes dangerously close to dropping a F-bomb at the 1:33 mark.
