Ryan BraunNike has cut ties with Ryan Braun in the wake of the 65-game suspension the Milwaukee Brewers outfielder is currently serving for his connection to the Biogenesis drug scandal.

The 2011 National League MVP was suspended last week, but the announcement by Nike came Friday, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell.

Braun has endorsed Nike for his entire seven-year career, and the company recently began selling T-shirts that said “Big Bat Like Braun” and “Braun Owns Milwaukee,” according to Rovell.

Since becoming connected to performance-enhancing drugs, Braun has lost nearly all of his endorsement deals, and he joins the likes of Lance Armstrong and track coach Trevor Graham as notable athletes connected to PEDs that Nike has dropped.
