One-Handed Basketball Star Picks Up Preferred Walk-On Offer From University of Florida (Video)

Zach Hodskins isn’t letting anything stop him from achieving his dreams, not even being born with just one hand.

Hodskins, who has starred in high school for Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton School despite having just one hand, picked up an offer Thursday from the University of Florida as a preferred walk-on, according to Yahoo! Sports. If Hodskins chooses to accept the offer, he could play for the Gators starting in the 2014-15 season.

Hodskins has impressed scouts and on-lookers on the prep basketball circuit with his stunning ball-handling and 3-point shooting ability. One recruiting website even tabbed Hodskins as the most impressive prospect at the recent ScoutsFocus All-American Camp in Charlottesville, Va., in June.

Hodskins was born with a defect in his left arm, which is cut at the elbow. Clearly, however, that hasn’t stopped him, and it’s easy to see how. Check out a highlight video of the one-handed star below.
