We’re not sure what on earth Juan Flores was thinking.

Fans of Peruvian soccer club Union Comerico must be wondering the same thing after their team’s goalkeeper made one of the worst soccer bloopers in recent memory. Flores’ gaffe came Sunday during a first division game against Sporting Cristal.

The veteran stopper appeared to try and fake out his opponent, only to make a mess of things himself. His fake-kick attempt fooled no one. He then tried and failed to pick up the ball. It came as no surprise when the grateful attacker collected the ball and scored.

Showboating is fine and dandy as far as we’re concerned — so long as it’s done properly.
