Ras-I Dowling, Jermaine Cunningham Still Not Practicing, Jake Ballard Returns for Patriots

Jake BallardThe Patriots held their final practice before traveling to Philadelphia on Monday, and a few key players continued to miss time.

Cornerback Ras-I Dowling and defensive lineman Jermaine Cunningham highlighted the players missing from Patriots practice, both missing their third straight practice, according to NESN.com NFL editor Doug Kyed.

Wide receiver Michael Jenkins and offensive lineman Kevin Haslam were present on the field on Monday, but neither player practiced with the team. Rob Gronkowski, who is still on the PUP list, and defensive lineman Armond Armstead, who was placed on the non-football illness list due to an infection, also didn’t practice on Monday.

Tight end Jake Ballard returned to the field after missing his first day of camp Saturday. Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard, who was limited in team activities Friday and Saturday with an undisclosed injury, also made his full return to practice.

The Patriots will travel to Philadelphia on Monday night and practice with the Eagles on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of their first preseason game at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday night.
