Atlanta Hawks v Los Angeles LakersThe Los Angeles Lakers, full of history and tradition, are set to do something a little crazy with their uniforms this season.

ESPN.com (via SportsLogos.net) reports the Lakers will wear short-sleeved jerseys for “several games” this season, apparently becoming the latest NBA team to get into the fad.

The jerseys will be white, according to the report, which is the same color as the team’s current alternate jerseys.

The new short-sleeved jerseys will be worn on Christmas and also when the league celebrates “Noche Latina.” The jerseys for that game will reportedly read “Los Lakers,” ESPN.com reports. In fact, all 10 teams playing on Christmas will be wearing short-sleeved jerseys.

The Lakers will also debut a black alternate jersey, according to the report.

The Phoenix Suns recently unveiled new uniforms, which also included a short-sleeved jersey. Several teams are expected to incorporate the new look into their rotations this season.
