The Seattle Seahawks had a surplus at right guard, a problem they fixed by sending John Moffitt to the Cleveland Browns on Monday for defensive end/tackle Brian Sanford.

Sanford will help Seattle’s defensive line, where the Seahawks are dealing with injuries. Sanford is entering his fourth year in the league but has played just six games in his career.

Moffitt had been competing with J.R. Sweezy at right guard. Sweezy had worked with the first-team offense in camp and the first two preseason games.
