Sports is full of people who choose to believe in a player or team despite the odds. For Aaron Hernandez fans, that includes backing him even as he was arraigned on charges of first-degree murder on Friday.

At least two people in the public seating section of the courtroom at Bristol County Superior Court were seen wearing Hernandez jerseys on Friday, according to Wesley Lowery of The Boston Globe. Another person wore a shirt that read “Free AH” on the back as well. Hernandez was in court to be arraigned on charges including first-degree murder in the death of Odin Lloyd, who was killed June 17.

Hernandez has found support in various places since he was first arrested in connection to the murder, including a crowd outside the same courtroom that chanted “innocent” when he was sent back to Bristol County Jail at one point in June.

Hernandez pleaded not guilty to six charges Friday, including firearm charges, and is due back in court Oct. 9. He is being held in jail without bail.
