Aaron Rodgers Cuts Business Ties With Ryan Braun, Will Rename Affiliated Milwaukee Restaurant

Ryan Braun Aaron RodgersAaron Rodgers once said that he didn’t regret backing his friend up when Ryan Braun was suspended from Major League BaseballĀ forĀ 65 game for using performance-enhancing drugs. Apparently, their business relationship will be changing, though.

A restaurant group that owns a restaurant co-owned by Braun and Rodgers has cut ties with the Brewers outfielder, according to USA Today Sports.

SURG Restaurant Group released a statement saying that they would be changing the name ofĀ the 8-Twelve MVP Bar & Grill in Brookfield, Wis. “Eight” is Braun’s jersey number and “12” is the number worn by the Packers quarterback.Ā Restaurant group co-owner Michael Polaski said he appreciated the restaurant’s previous relationship with Braun and wished the him success. Braun, in the same statement, said he supported the decision.

The restaurant group will also rename another 8-Twelve location slated to open in another Milwaukee-area suburb. Rodgers said he will continue his relationship with the restaurant group, with a focus on community relations and charitable events.
