Chad Johnson, Niklas Svedberg Battling for Backup Spot Behind Tuukka Rask (Video)

Goaltender Anton Khudobin proved to be more than competent as the Bruins’ No. 2 last season, going 9-4-1 with a 2.32 goals against average in 14 starts. But now, with Khudobin moving on to back up Cam Ward in Carolina, the Bruins are tasked with finding a new understudy to Tuukka Rask.

Rookie Malcolm Subban is a virtual lock to begin the season in Providence, leaving journeyman Chad Johnson and last year’s P-Bruins starter, Niklas Svedberg, to battle it out for a spot on the roster.
