Danny Amendola, Rob GronkowskiFOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots offense  is getting closer and closer to having their No. 1 and 2 options on back on the field.

Rob Gronkowski was in high spirits on Wednesday afternoon, joking around with the media. Danny Amendola said he expects to be at full health soon.

“I anticipate being 100 percent shortly,” Amendola said. “I don’t know when, but I’m getting closer.”

Amendola was asked if he could see the light at the end of the tunnel while recovering from a groin injury that has kept him out of two games already.

“There’s a light,” Amendola said. “I can see it.”

The first-year Patriot was asked if he has been finishing practices with the Patriots. He has been listed as a “limited participant” in practice. Amendola dodged the question as well as he dodges defenders in the middle of the field.

“I’m feeling a lot better, getting a lot of good treatment and running around,” Amendola said. “I’m doing what I can, helping where I can and learning where I can.”

Amendola is not expected back this week, but he looked more fluid in practice.
