During Thursday night’s WNBA playoff game between the Minnesota Lynx and the Phoenix Mercury, a personal foul was assessed during a disagreement. While that sounds pretty routine, the thing is, the fouls were given out for an action we’ve never seen at a basketball game.

Mercury guard Diana Taurasi and Lynx guard Seimone Augustus have apparently been playing basketball against one another since they were kids, according to the announcers in the video, and the two got into a bit of a shoving match near the end of Game 1 of the Western Conference finals. Taurasi then tried to lighten the mood by planting a kiss on the lips of her old rival. The nearby referee was not very impressed with the act, and he gave the signal for an intentional foul.

Check out Taurasi’s out-of-bounds advance in her team’s 85-62 loss in the video below, with a hat tip to @cjzero.
