Dick Vitale Apologizes After Calling Arian Foster ‘Prostitute’ for Accepting Money in College

Arian Foster openly admitted that he accepted money on the side while in college at the University of Tennessee. While some people appreciated the running back’s candor, others weren’t so pleased. ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale was among them.

Vitale took to Twitter after seeing Foster’s comments on Friday, explaining his support for paying college players but also chiding Foster for his decision to accept such benefits. During his Twitter rant, Vitale went as far as to call Foster a “prostitute” for what he viewed as “selling his body” for money.

Well, Vitale caught some serious heat for the comment from his followers, causing him to delete the original tweet and apologize in a series of messages after the fact.
