Matt LightMatt Light is a real man, and apparently real men drink diet vodka. At least that’s what Light’s setting out to prove.

Light has joined on with the makers of KEEL Vodka, a low-calorie alcohol, as a pitchman for the company, according to The Boston Globe. The former Patriots offensive tackle is helping to expand the brand to a wider customer base in the New England area.  By promoting it as a better alternative to other drinks on the market, Light hopes to make it available in more stores.

“Now people want to have options,” Light said. “They want to look at healthier ways of going out and enjoying themselves. They want to stay balanced. That’s what we represent.”

A 300-pound football player and a 58-calorie diet liquor seems like an unlikely marriage, but apparently Light wants to change that perception.
