The Red Sox announced their 2013 minor league award winners Saturday.

Henry Owens, Blake Swihart, Mookie Betts and Deven Marrero were among those who received hardware for their contributions this season. The awards were selected by the Red Sox’ baseball operations department and minor league roving instructors.

It’s been a successful season for the major league club, but the Red Sox also have plenty of young talent coming up through the system. Those honored with awards represent just a small sample of that talent.

Check out the award winners below.

Pitcher of the Year: Henry Owens

Owens went 11-6 with a 2.67 ERA between High-A Salem and Double-A Portland. The 21-year-old’s 169 strikeouts were the most for a Red Sox minor leaguer since Clay Buchholz struck out 171 in 2007.

Offensive Player of the Year: Mookie Betts

Betts hit .314 wit 15 home runs and 65 RBIs in 127 games with Single-A Greenville and High-A Salem. He led all Red Sox minor leaguers with 38 stolen bases.

Defensive Player of the Year: Blake Swihart

Swihart batted .298 with two homers, 42 RBIs, 29 doubles and seven triples in 103 games with High-A Salem, but the 2011 first-round pick’s defense really stood out. Swihart committed just 10 errors in 841 chances (.988 fielding percentage) in 101 games as a catcher for Salem.

Baserunner of the Year: Deven Marrero

Marrero tied for the third-most stolen bases in the Red Sox organization with 27. He hit .252 with 26 RBIs and 20 doubles between High-A Salem and Double-A Portland.

Latin Pitcher of the Year: Dedgar Jimenez

Jimenez went 4-3 with a 1.50 ERA in 13 starts for the Dominican Summer League Red Sox.

Latin Player of the Year: Victor Acosta

Acosta hit .256 with eight homers, 39 RBIs and 11 doubles in 63 games with the Dominican Summer League Red Sox.

Lou Gorman Award winner (Red Sox minor leaguer who has demonstrated dedication and perseverance in overcoming obstacles while working his way to the major league team): Steven Wright

Wright, who made his major league debut on April 23, is currently in his fourth stint with the Red Sox. The knuckleballer is 2-0 with a 5.40 ERA (eight earned runs in 13 1/3 innings pitched) with the Red Sox. He went 8-7 with a 3.46 ERA in 24 regular season starts with Pawtucket.
