The Red Sox have missed their leadoff hitter during the last 16 games, but on Wednesday night Jacoby Ellsbury will be back back in his spot.

After fracturing a bone in his right foot, Ellsbury returns to the lineup with four regular-season games to be played, and the center fielder hopes to be 100 percent by the time the playoffs roll around. With Ellsbury hitting .299 this season and leading the league with 52 stolen bases, the Red Sox will need him healthy down the stretch to make a deep postseason run.

Check out what WEEI’s Rob Bradford has to say about the impact of Ellsbury’s return in the above video.
