Jim Leyland has been there before, but he certainly wasn’t acting like it Wednesday night.
And it was amazing.
The Detroit manager went through all the perfunctory postgame requirements after the Tigers beat the Twins to sew up the American League Central on Wednesday, but he made sure not to miss the fun after giving his interview (which was a classic in itself). After getting a trip into the clubhouse on the back of Torii Hunter, Leyland let himself get doused with the bubbly and then started dancing the night away.
It’s not the first time Leyland has taken the Tigers to October, but he still treated it like a brand-new night. Check it out in the GIF and video below.
