The Cleveland Indians might be using their farm system a little too literally these days.

Before the Tribe hosted Baltimore on Wednesday, Justin Masterson livened up batting practice by bringing a live chicken to Progressive Field to help shag some balls in the outfield. The pitcher remained mysterious about how he obtained the bird, but it is reportedly a gift for relief pitcher Cody Allen, and it has been named “Cody.”
