The Kardashians may be to blame for many things in this world, but Lamar Odom would like everyone to know they’re not to blame for his recent tumble.
The NBA free agent, who is without a team heading into the 2013-2014 season after reportedly fighting a drug addiction over the past couple of years, made his first public comments in a while Tuesday night after his father made critical remarks about Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian, and her family.
Odom’s father, Joe, said his son “would be better off without them” and that the complications of being in the limelight, including the family’s reality show, of which Odom was a part, led to his fall.
The younger Odom quickly shot down that idea, tweeting a response (warning: language may not be suitable for all audiences).

Lamar Odom referred to his troubled past in denouncing his father, saying Joe Odom’s struggles with his “demons” are the only thing he gave his son, and that any good in Odom’s life now is due to his new family.
Odom was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and has reportedly been in and out of rehab as his family pushes him to get help. Despite the confusing situation and uncertain future, though, Odom appears to be firm on at least one front.
