WASHINGTON — The Washington Nationals have postponed Monday night’s game against the Atlanta Braves following shootings at the nearby Navy Yard.

The game has been rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader on Tuesday, the Nationals said in a statement.

Washington said the team was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic events that occurred this morning only a few blocks from Nationals Park.

“Our thoughts and prayers remain with our friends at the Navy Yard and those impacted by [Monday’s] incident,” the Nationals added.
