The Ndamukong Suh act is a tired one, and it’s one the Detroit Lions would probably like to see their defesnive tackle abandon. He continues to say he’s going to change the way he plays, but he also continues to offer proof to the contrary.

Suh was back at it again Sunday in Week 1 during the Lions’ eventual win over the Minnesota Vikings. It looked like the Lions had just put points on the board after DeAndre Levy picked off a Christian Ponder pass and returned it for a touchdown. However, a flag was thrown, and the penalty was on Suh.

The tackle had been called for an illegal low block on Vikings center John Sullivan after Suh dived at Sullivan’s knees and took him out on what appeared to be a very dirty play.

“I wasn’t by any means going for his knees,” Suh insisted after the game. “He knows that. We had a great conversation running out at halftime, and he understood. My aim was his waist to cut him off.”

The NFL might not be buying that, though. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the league is looking into the incident, and Suh is once again facing discipline from the league.

Suh usually saves his dirty play for Thanksgiving. The Nebraska alum stomped on Packers lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith back in 2010, and he also kicked Matt Schaub in the groin during a Turkey Day game last year. The play with Schaub earned Suh a fine.
