Oakland Raiders Set to Debut Embarrassingly Cartoonish ‘Raider Rusher’ Mascot (Photo)

Despite their uninspired play on the field in recent years, the Oakland Raiders still retain a relatively fearsome reputation. So, you would expect the team’s mascot to be at least somewhat intimidating.

That, however, is not the case.

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Oakland will soon be introducing a new mascot, the Raider Rusher, that looks like it would be right at home in a Pixar movie.

If you said the mascot, which is basically an oversized, blue-eyed version of the logo found on Oakland’s helmets, was something straight out of a cartoon, you would be correct. The Rusher apparently is a character on NFL Rush Zone, an NFL-licensed Nickelodeon show that features the voices of several current and former NFL players and coaches.

In our opinion, the Raiders could have done better by simply grabbing a random guy out of the Black Hole.

Check out the new mascot in the photo below.
