Red Sox Rookies Wear Scottish Kilts Complete With Hats, Sashes During ‘Picnic in the Park’ (Photo)

After defeating Toronto in their last regular-season game at Fenway Park, the Red Sox took part in the Picnic in the Park event. The veterans may have enjoyed the relaxing activity more than the rookies, though.

Before kicking off their final road trip of the season, the Red Sox rookies got a little taste of hazing as dress-up day made its way into the Boston clubhouse. Rookies returned to their lockers after the game to find packages containing their attire for the evening: Scottish kilts and hats.

As the youngsters joined their teammates on the field, a bagpiper performed on the infield to really complete the theme.
