Danny AmendolaOn Thursday night, Ian Rapoport reported Danny Amendola would be out 2-6 weeks with a groin injury. Now, we have the ailments behind that projection.

Amendola has torn adductor muscles, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports. Glazer reported there are conflicting opinions from doctors whether the Patriots receiver has a sports hernia.

If Amendola has torn adductors, he can play through it, but he’ll likely never be fully healthy this season, according to Rapoport. If he has a sports hernia, he’ll need surgery and recovery will take 4-6 weeks.

Until then, Tom Brady and the Patriots will have to live with Julian Edelman and three rookies at receiver.
