tim-thomas photo galleryBruins fans are all too familiar with the Tim Thomas saga, from his political comments to the way he left the team with a year remaining on his contract. Time has passed, however, and the Bruins proved that they’re a capable — if not improved — team behind Tuukka Rask. For the Boston Bruins, the Tim Thomas era is firmly over.

It’s a different story for Thomas himself. The 39-year-old former Conn Smythe winner is back on the ice with the Florida Panthers and attempting his comeback in the National Hockey League. Bruins fans are sure to have some interest in whether or not he makes it, but this is far from the most interesting comeback story in sports this year.
