It’s hard to imagine that the Red Sox of 2012 could turn themselves into the Red Sox of 2013.
In 2012, the Red Sox finished last in the AL East, winning just 69 games. This season, the Sox have held onto first place for the majority of the year and already have 93 wins under their belt. The Sox have already accomplished the goal of making it to the playoffs, but they have their sights set even higher.
Through a series of offseason transactions and a change in clubhouse culture, the Red Sox have made contenders out of themselves, and team chairman Tom Werner says the journey from last season has been a fun one. Hear what else Werner had to say in the video above.
