The Washington Capitals snapped a three-game losing streak on Monday night, and they were rewarded the very next day with some puppies for their hard-fought win.
OK, that may not have been the case, but the Caps did hang out with some adorable animals on Tuesday afternoon. A few members of the team donned some props, grabbed a dog and posed for some pictures as part of a calendar that will raise money for Homeward Trails Animal Rescue.
The non-profit organization rescues dogs and cats from high-kill animal shelters and overburdened owners, and places them in homes around Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
