Aqib TalibFOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots already lost Jerod Mayo to injured reserve on Wednesday. They were also missing five key players at practice.

Aqib TalibDanny Amendola, Tommy Kelly, Leon Washington and Dan Connolly were not present at the start of Wednesday’s session. Talib suffered a hip injury on Sunday against the Saints. Amendola and Connolly were both lost to head injuries against New Orleans.

Kelly (knee) and Washington (ankle) were both injured in Week 5 against the Bengals. The Patriots have already lost two All-Pros for the season (Mayo and Vince Wilfork). Talib, Amendola, Kelly and Connolly are all Patriots starters.

Armond Armstead and Mark Harrison did not practice. That means their clock to be activated has not started. Once a player on PUP or NFI practices, they have three weeks to be activated, otherwise they will revert to injured reserve.
