Jaromir Jagr made quite the first impression after being traded to the Bruins last season. The future Hall of Famer scored in his Boston debut against the New Jersey Devils, as a puck deflected off of his skate and went by Martin Brodeur.
That sight, of Jagr scoring a goal, wasn’t one Bruins fans became accustomed to, though. Jagr only scored two goals during his time with the Bruins, which included a frustrating stretch that continued through the B’s Stanley Cup Final loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Jagr will make his first appearance in Boston since Game 6 of the Cup Final on Saturday night when he leads those Devils into TD Garden to take on the B’s. Jagr is off to a nice start with the Devils, averaging nearly a point per game in his first 10 games with his latest club.
He won’t be the only future Hall of Famer in the Jersey lineup. Brodeur will get the start in net for the Devils.
