Bruins Focus on Power Play Paying Off as Team Shows Improvement Through Two Games (Video)


The Boston Bruins finished 26th in the NHL on power-play scoring percentage in the 2012 season, but this year’s squad is already making big upgrades on the man-advantage.

Head coach Claude Julien made some changes to the team’s power play to change the dynamic, which has resulted in two power-play goals through the first two games of the season. On Thursday the B’s take on an unbeaten Colorado Avalanche team that almost mirrors the Bruins on special teams.
