The Bruins matched up with a tough San Jose Sharks team on Thursday that has dominated the early part of the NHL season.

The B’s employed a new tactical strategy to combat the Sharks’ quick skating and strong defense, though. By keeping at least one forward high, the Bruins were able to loosen the forechecking pressure by the Sharks and create space to work.
