In a high school football season already filled with incredible touchdown runs, Nick Como‘s 55-yard scamper might be the most impressive yet.

After taking the handoff near his own 40-yard line, the Canyon Springs (Calif.) High running back got bottled up in the backfield almost immediately by a swarming Arlington High defense. But as good as the Arlington defenders were at getting to the ballcarrier, they were just as poor at wrapping him up.

The play was originally meant to be a stretch run to the right, but after bouncing off one tackler, Como reversed field — Marcus Allen-style — and proceeded to shake off about six more tackles before finding an opening on the left side and galloping the final 55 yards untouched into the end zone.

Como’s highlight-reel touchdown proved to be the difference in the game, as Canyon Springs edged Arlington 27-25.
