Cardinals Bullpen Does Synchronized Stretching Routine, Prove Boredom Still Finds Relievers in Postseason (GIF)

When relief pitchers are stuck in the bullpen for 162 games, they find ways to amuse themselves. When their teams makes the playoffs, they have to up their games.

That’s what the St. Louis Cardinals’ bullpen did in the early stages of their extra-innings Game 1 win of the NLCS. Perhaps right-hander Trevor Rosenthal and his two synchronized teammates knew the game was destined for bonus baseball, so in the fifth inning, Rosenthal and crew began stretching with a coordinated routine that would make any Olympic diving team proud.

Rosenthal would go on to pitch two scoreless innings for the Cards en route to their 13th inning 3-2 walk-off win, and his smooth performance was no doubt aided by his bullpen’s flawless routine.

Unfortunately, the Russian judge still wasn’t impressed.
