The rebuilding Celtics have the 15th-lowest ticket price on the secondary market, according to data compiled by Vivid Seats. The $150 average ticket price and $85 median ticket price puts the Celtics in upper half of the league in both categories, but just barely.
Not surprisingly, the most expensive ticket is in New York, where everything is obnoxiously expensive. The Knicks have the highest median ticket price at $200, followed by the Lakers at $180. The defending Western Conference champion Spurs are the fifth-cheapest with a median price of $59, while East finalist Indiana is third-cheapest at $55.
The most expensive ticket to any game this season will be the Christmas Day game between the Heat and Lakers — even though the Lakers are being picked to finish near the bottom of the standings and Kobe Bryant‘s status for that game is still up in the air. The median price for a ticket to that matchup is a whopping $479.
