The most likely scenario is that Vontae Davis was tired after playing an NFL football game and got his future Hall of Fame quarterbacks mixed up. Regardless, though, it led to an unintentionally humorous gaffe.

The Indianapolis Colts cornerback had himself a fine game Sunday night in Indy as the Colts handed Peyton Manning and the undefeated Denver Broncos their first loss of the season. The dominant storyline leading up to that game all week was Manning’s return to where he started his career, and it was near-impossible to miss the mentions of the All-Pro quarterback.

Apparently Davis missed those, though. In an interview with NBC after the game, Davis explained what helped Indy come away with the win. According to him, it was a week of good practice and preparing for … Tom Brady? The mixup quickly hit Twitter and the rest of the Internet, as these types of things are prone to do.
