Craig Berube appears to have studied at the John Tortorella School of Media Management.

Berube, who took over as head coach of the Flyers after Peter Laviolette was fired on Monday, earned a win in his debut, with Philadelphia taking down Florida 2-1.

Things got a little testy during his postgame podium session, however, when Berube was asked about what could have been a costly third-period roughing penalty by Jay Rosehill that led to the winger being sent to the room with a 10-minute game misconduct.

“I thought it was a weak call originally,” he said. “What he did after was unacceptable. You can’t do it. He knows that.”

When asked if he has additional punishment in mind for Rosehill, Berube scoffed.

“You want me to spank him?” he asked. “Get lost. Talk stupid.”

Sounds like this guy will fit in just fine in Philly. Check out the exchange in the video below.
