The Boston Red Sox have announced the team’s 25-man active roster for the 2013 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals, and manager John Farrell is sticking with southpaw Franklin Morales.

Fellow lefty Matt Thornton, who threw a simulated game at Fenway Park on Tuesday, was rumored to be taking Morales’ World Series roster spot after Morales struggled in Game 6 of the ALCS.

Thornton was left off the ALDS and ALCS rosters and has appeared in three career playoff games, allowing two hits, two walks and striking out two in 3 1/3 innings. Morales has appeared in 11 career postseason contests and sports a 7.71 ERA.

Check out the roster below.
