Next time, Reggie Evans will remember to sneak a potshot to Jeff Green‘s groin or to slip his foot into Green’s landing spot so the Celtics forward twists his ankle. That’s Evans’ standard operating procedure, anyway.
Unfortunately for Evans, he was not thinking ahead Tuesday when he rotated on defense to contest Green’s cut along the baseline in the second quarter. Green collected a football-style pass from Jared Sullinger and rose up for a right-handed throwdown over Evans.
The dunk provided an “up” moment in Green’s up-and-down game, and assured Evans a place in the preseason highlight reels.
