Buffalo got Superdomed on Monday night.

During the first intermission of the Sabres’ home game against the Wild, a portion of the arena lights at the First Niagara Center shut off, delaying the start of the second period by more than 15 minutes.

The lights did eventually come back on, but the night remained dark for the home team. Former Sabres captain Jason Pominville, now in his second season with the Wild, scored the deciding goal in the closing seconds of the second period, giving Minnesota a 2-1 win and dropping Buffalo to 0-6-1 on the season.

The Sabres’ lone point puts them dead last in the NHL through the first few weeks of this young season. New Jersey is the only other team still searching for its first win, but the Devils have racked up three points on overtime losses.
