Marshawn LynchThe NFL’s uniform police are out on the prowl once again, and this time Marshawn Lynch is the victim.

Lynch was fined $5,250 by the NFL this week for wearing the wrong color shoes during the Seahawks’ 23-20 win over the Texans on Sunday. He wore green shoes during the game, which is not approved by the NFL.

This isn’t the first time Lynch has been fined for wearing the wrong shoes. He was fined $10,000 in Week 17 of the 2011 season for wearing Skittles-colored cleats during a game.

Lynch isn’t the first player to be fined by the league for uniform violations this season. Lions safety Louis Delmas was fined $5,000 by the league for wearing the wrong color socks in Week 1, and Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was fined $10,000 for wearing Under Armour visor clips, which he’s done for his entire career.

Lynch probably doesn’t like forking over a few thousand bucks to the NFL, but he ran pretty well in them, carrying the ball 17 times for 98 yards and a touchdown on the ground to go along with three catches for 45 yards. With that sort of success, don’t think a fine will keep Beast Mode from sporting the neon green cleats again in the near future.
