Tim TebowIt’s not important to understand what Metta World Peace is talking about. All that matters is to hear what he has to say and enjoy it.

In the same interview with the New York Post in which he calls Paul Pierce is the best trash-talker in the NBA, World Peace also discloses that he is a huge Tim Tebow fan and that the New York Jets are his favorite team.

Scratch that, they’re not just his favorite team — they’re the greatest team ever.

“I love the Jets,” World Peace said. “No. 1 team … in the world.”

The Jets, who are 2-2, let Tebow go in the offseason. Although the Pats also decided they did not need Tebow, World Peace traces the Jets’ problems to the decision to part ways with the former Florida quarterback.

“Tebow, he don’t lose, he wins,” World Peace said. “Name one time he lost. I don’t understand this stuff. He didn’t play. He wins games. What more could you ask for?”

For World Peace’s information, Tebow lost seven times in the 2011 season and five times in 2010 with the Broncos. That’s immaterial, though, because World Peace is always right. The Jets should re-sign Tebow, then sign World Peace, too, because if there is one thing a Rex Ryan-coached team needs, it’s another guy to provide entertaining sound bites.
